A two week Broads adventure!
               
Two weeks of non stop adventure will showcase all that the Broads has to offer from May 4th to 19th.

The third Broads Outdoors Festival will provide the opportunity for people to experience new activities and learn more about Britain’s Magical Waterland right on their doorstep.


Over 80 specially designed events have been arranged and some secret places are opening specially for the occasion.  Whether you love boats, birds, trains, or windmills or just want to get to know your area better there is plenty to choose from.

The festival starts and finishes with a boat show, there is a free canoeing morning and opportunities to get out on the water as well as family fun days. For the full programme visit www.outdoorsfestival.co.uk

The festival is organised by the Broads Authority in partnership with organisations passionate about the Broads. It is sponsored by Archant and Hoseasons.




Chance to advise on countryside access in the Broads.

The Broads Authority is looking for local people with a love of the Broads to advise it on creating better countryside access.
The Broads Local Access Forum, which advises the Authority and the relevant county councils on recreational access and rights of way, currently has several vacancies.  

The Authority wants to appoint people with an interest in the Broads, particularly land owners, or managers and people who represent ethnic groups to the Forum, which was formed in 2003. It meets on four afternoons a year, often following a morning field visit. Next year it will be meeting on 10th March, 16th June, and 8th September.

Meet the Broads Authority

The Broads Authority is looking to improve opportunities for the public to find out about Planning and the other functions of the Broads Authority and to help the public communicate with us. We are going to hold regular Parish drop-in sessions on a rolling basis across the Broads Authority area enabling residents, Parish Councils and other organisations to meet the planning team and other Broads Authority staff. This will be an opportunity to ask questions about planning, including discussing your own intentions for your property or land, or about current planning applications. You can also discuss the other work of the Broads Authority. No appointment is necessary, but if you have a specific query it would be useful if you give us some notice so we can bring the necessary paperwork. All residents and Parish Councils are welcome to attend any of the Parish drop-in sessions. We look forward to meeting you...
